February is the month of love for most people. I had a horrible beginning to my Friday. I’ll just chalk it up to waking up on the wrong side of the bed. The Beard was definitely in tune to my cranky behavior (cold showed, icy road conditions, slipped and fell on my way into work, and work emails were down for a small bit). Friday wasn’t my day. Thankfully, I have a future husband that gets me and knows my “love language”.

Instantly my day was better thanks to the small gesture from my fiancé.

This sparked a conversation between a few co-workers on The 5 Love Languages. Some may think this is a joke but I tell you what, this is point on exactly what every man and woman need to read or be aware of. As we all have different personalities and different ways in which we communicate and go about our day. I truly feel so many arguments, problems and failed relationships can be challenged and saved if people were aware of what their partner(s) needed.

So in the spirit of February and Valentine’s Day, took at look at The 5 Love Languages site and do a free assessment to discover YOUR love language.

My personal assessment is as follows:

  1. Words of Affirmation
  2. Quality Time
  3. Acts of Service
  4. Physical Touch
  5. Receiving Gifts

What’s yours?

  1. I took that a month or two ago and I’m pretty sure you and I have the exact same love language.
